Enterprise and the API

Enterprise is sold on an annual contract and is built around the API. Your organisation is issued a key, sent in an X-API-Key header on every request, and scoped to an agreed rate limit. Keys can be rotated at any time, and two can be live at once so a rotation needs no downtime. Because a key is a credential, call the API from your server rather than from a browser or a mobile app, where anyone using them could read it.

The API returns observances, the traditions behind them and calendar feeds, and every date carries the same statement of certainty you see on this site. It also publishes what we do not compute, so an integration can tell a known gap apart from a missing record.

What you are paying for

Accuracy that survives contact with a real organisation. Dates that differ by country are given per country. Observances that begin at sunset say so. Where a date depends on a local announcement, you are told that in advance and sent the confirmed date when it arrives, rather than being handed a number that quietly turns out to be wrong.

What we will not do

We will not sell or share the subscriber list, we will not run advertising against religious content, and we will not infer anyone’s religion from what they subscribe to. Choosing a tradition’s calendar is not a declaration of belief and will never be treated as one.
